Apache Attack Helicopter: Relevant Yesterday – Relevant Today – Relevant Tomorrow!
 |
The prototype YAH-64 Apache made its first flight in 1975 and within a year received a full-scale development contract. In 1984 the first of 937 AH-64A Apaches was delivered to the US Army and many of our international allies. In 1997 the A model was followed by the next generation AH-64D Apache Longbow, which included numerous enhanced capabilities and cutting edge technology. Now in 2011, reinventing itself once again, the Apache Block III has made its first flight, and soon the latest version of the premier attack helicopter will be protecting our customers around the world. But we won't stop there – plans are already underway to keep the Apache relevant to the warfighter for another 30 years, and we expect that you will be a shareholder in its success. |
